As a contributing writer for the November 2001 issue of this internationally circulated magazine, I was asked to research and write a news brief on the development and potential applications of a synthetic version of the natural anti-freeze protein that allows certain fish to survive in subfreezing waters. The result was, The War Against Freezer Burn.
